In discussing her marriage with Iqbal Hussain, Bushra Ansari revealed, “The decision to marry Iqbal Hussain was a challenging one for me. Although I had been divorced previously, I had never made it public. Iqbal Hussain proposed to me while we were shooting for Seeta Bhagri. He said, ‘Both of us live alone, so we should get married.’ It took me a year and a half to consider marrying someone younger than me, even though he had been divorced before me.”

Iqbal Hussain also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am thankful to Bushra Ansari’s family and friends who supported me in this decision and convinced her because Bushra wasn’t initially agreeing to it. Sumbul Apa, Neelum Aapa, Asma Abbas’s husband, and others played a significant role in making it happen.” Bushra Ansari added that Rubina Ashraf, Behroze Sabzwari, Badar Khalil, Sultana Siddiqui, and all her friends supported their decision as well. The couple also mentioned that their children are living abroad and are happy with their parents’ decision to move forward in life.

Iqbal Hussain further emphasized, “If two people have the option and there are no family clashes, then they should consider marriage without making it a big issue. Additionally, marrying an older woman should be normalized in our society.”
