Pakistani Origin People Who Worked In Hollywood United States Of America

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, several individuals of Pakistani origin have made their mark in Hollywood, the American entertainment industry. These individuals have excelled in various fields, including acting, filmmaking, and music. Here are a few notable Pakistanis or individuals of Pakistani descent in Hollywood:

Riz Ahmed

Rizwan “Riz” Ahmed is a British actor and rapper. He has received several awards, including an Academy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award with nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and two British Academy Film Awards. In 2017, he was named in the Time 100 listing of the most influential people in the world.

Adnan Siddiqui

On the big screen, Adnan has appeared alongside Angelina Jolie. In the movie A Mighty Heart with Angelina Jolie and Irfan Khan, he plays a supporting role. A Mighty Heart was released in 2007 and featured an ensemble cast comprising cinema big-wigs like Jolie and the Irrfan Khan. It follows the story of Mariane, the pregnant wife of American journalist Daniel Pearl, who after his disappearance, sets out to find him.

Laraib Atta

Laraib Atta, a Pakistani woman from Punjab, Pakistan, is a VFX creator or artist for Hollywood motion pictures. She has already contributed to many of Hollywood’s top VFX-based films, including 10,000 BC, The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince of Persia, Godzilla, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. She is daughter of Atta Esa Khelvi famous Pakistani lock singer.

Sameer A. Gardezi

Sameer A. Gardezi is a WGA Award Winning Pakistani American Muslim screenwriter and television writer who has written for Aliens in America, the Golden Globe nominated, Emmy-winning hit series Modern Family., Mr. Sunshine, Outsourced and Goodwin Games.

Yawar Charlie

Yawar Charlie is the grandson of Indian film legend, Noor Mohammed Charlie, one of the pioneers of the Bollywood film industry. Following in his family’s footsteps, Yawar moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Television and Film. Yawar is also working in western world as actor. He has many relatives in Pakistan who are active in Pakistani media industry including VJ Dino Ali and others.

Faran Tahir

Son of legendary veteran Pakistani actor Naeem Tahir, Faran Tahir may not be considered a household name yet but he is definitely familiar to millions around the world. You may recognize him as Raza in Iron Man (2008) or Captain Robau in Star Trek (2009). The international acclaimed Pakistani origin artist has been a Hollywood insider for over 32 years now and has guest starred in many TV series and films. His debut appearance was in Disney’s The Jungle Book in 1994 as Mowgli’s father. You can currently watch him in the hit American TV Series Scandal. Farah brother is Ali Tahir who serves Pakistani drama industry since around 20 years. Faran also got married to girl in Pakistan but it ended soon on divorce note.
